Building a foundation for the future on the finest traditions of the past.

The Freemasons are a fraternal organization with its origins in the late 16th century and boasts approximately 5 million brothers from diverse backgrounds worldwide. Truth, charity, and self-improvement are our goals. Chances are you already know a few Masons--your grandfather, an uncle, or a friend. If you'd like to explore how you can help make the world a better place, ask about becoming a Mason!

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Freemason.

Knob Creek Lodge #401 is a lodge under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Texas and received its charter in 1875. We meet in Temple, Texas the 3rd Monday of each month.

To become a Freemason, a candidate must:
  • Be a man who comes of his own free will
  • Believe in a Supreme Being (the form of which is left to open interpretation by the candidate)
  • Be at least the 18 years old
  • Be of good moral character
  • Be of sound mind and body
  • Be capable of furnishing character references, as well as two references from current Masons. Don't know any Masons? Stop by, we'd like to get to know you.
